MultiScreenshot FAQ

Find answers to commonly asked questions about multi-display screenshot capture and MultiScreenshot features.

Getting Started

MultiScreenshot is a MenuBar utility app. You can access its functionality by clicking on the MultiScreenshot icon in the MenuBar at the top of your screen.
Click the MultiScreenshot icon in the menubar to reveal the app dropdown interface window. Then click the Snap button to save screenshots to your default export path.

Alternatively: Use the global keyboard shortcut shown next to the Snap button to automatically take screenshots without needing to access the MenuBar interface.
Depending on the amount of space taken by the currently active application's menu options, there may be limited space in the menubar for menubar apps, causing them to be hidden.

To fix this:
  • Activate an app with minimal menu options (such as Finder) to reveal more menubar apps
  • Hold the ⌘ Command key and click-drag the MultiScreenshot menubar icon to the right for higher priority
  • Consider using a menubar management application to help reveal hidden menubar apps

Settings & Configuration

Click the MultiScreenshot icon in the menubar to reveal the app dropdown interface window. Then click the Set Export Path button to open a Finder window where you can select a new folder to save your screenshots to.
Click the MultiScreenshot icon in the menubar to reveal the app dropdown interface window. Then check the Launch at Login checkbox at the bottom of the window.

This will automatically add MultiScreenshot to your launch at login apps in System Settings. To remove it, simply uncheck the checkbox.
This can happen for two reasons:

1. License Required: Make sure to obtain a license to activate screenshot capabilities. A 1-week free trial is available in the MultiScreenshot dropdown interface window.

2. Permissions Required: If you have a license and the Snap button is still greyed out, make sure to grant Screen Capture permissions to MultiScreenshot. Instructions can be found by clicking the Permissions button at the bottom of the MultiScreenshot dropdown interface window.
